4 Inter-Covenantal Period

The arrival of the promised Holy Spirit in the New Covenant marked the beginning of the Inter-Covenantal Period, which can be subdivided into three parts:

1. The births of John & Jesus and the ministry of John the Baptist heralding the arrival of Jesus culminating with the baptism of Jesus, the Holy Spirit descending upon Jesus, and the Father announcing Jesus as his Son in whom He is well pleased.

2. Jesus's subsequent ministry included choosing his followers, performing miracles, preaching the kingdom of God, building trust and faith in his disciples, and mentoring them about the Holy Spirit before his crucifixion.

3. The end of the Inter-Covenantal period is the topic of the next chapter.

The remaining events in the books of Acts and, subsequently, the destruction of Jerusalem pertain to the end of the culture of worship in Jerusalem and the beginning of the New Heavens and New Earth, the Healing of the Nations, and how the Everlasting Covenant of Peace continues to remain in effect today and forever!
